More New Orleans

Here are some more pictures of New Orleans and the kids swimming at the rooftop pool at our Hotel in New Orleans.

New Orleans on a better note

We had so much fun here and wished that we would have planned on spending a few more nights here. We stayed right on Canal street, by the french quarter and a block away from bourbon street. We had an interesting walk down here. It was hotter than hot here though.. and we were beat by the time we were all done with pushing the lugs (the kids) in strollers through the town on bumpy streets. Here is some pictures of Lily, and Chris. They are eating crawfish. YUCK!! And some other random pictures of New Orleans.

New Orleans

The kids endured next stop which was New Orleans. We had an absolute blast. The weather was wonderful and we stayed right downtown on Canal street. We took a separate side drive to where the really bad devistation occurred from Katrina. We saw houses that were just torn down, windows blown out, and the roofs looked like they were teared away. It made us stop and realize that we are all truly lucky to have a place that we call home.

Vacation

We are back from Vacation. We had such a blast on our road trip.We rocked and rolled to the doodlebops on Lily's tv all the way to our first stop, Memphis TN.

The kids were absolutely wonderful. I had no reason to fear :) It took us two days and 16 hours, and we made it to New Orleans, our first "true" destination. Actually, on the way down there, we stopped in Memphis for a night and stayed right off of Beale street. Party city!! That was to crazy for us and two kids :) Here are some pictures from Memphis. We stopped in Graceland and did some visiting as well.

Tulip time in Pella Iowa

David, Jenna, and Gavin came to visit us at the beginning of may and we all went to the tulip fest in Pella. It was cold that day but we had lots of fun. The kids loved the parade.

Swinging in our back yard

The kids love to swing in the new swing set. They love going to the park and Lily really loves to swing. We found that we were spending most of our days at the park so we decided to get Lily ( Nolan too) a swing set for her birthday present.

Our spring days

Well, Nolan can stand around things as you can see. He loves to chew on anything, especially the train table :)
( Lily doesnt like that too much)

We like to go to the Farmers market downtown on Saturday mornings and last week was a special week there. They had the black hawk helicopters, ambulances, fire trucks, mini planes, hum v's, etc. They let the kids play in them so here a few pictures from that.

More wedding pictures.

Sorry for being MIA

Sorry, we have been MIA for a while. Here are some recent pictures of the kids and us at David and Jenna's wedding.
