Congrats!
Congrats to Lily's Kindergarten teacher Mrs. Wallace who had her little baby girl on Monday. She is just beautiful. Mrs. Wallace will be out the remainder of the school year and Lily will be having a new teacher who we have heard great things about. This has been a big transition for the kiddos for their first year of school but hopefully things will work out. Although, we specifically requested Mrs. Wallace as we have heard great things about her so we wanted Lily to have her for her very first year as a kindergartner, we know that this year will still be rewarding and exciting for Lily.

Finally updated.....
I have finally updated our family blog... I know it has been a while and I keep promising I will update it more frequently. No excuses but I am working more hours from home now for work and the last thing I want to do when I am done with work, is be on the computer more. And by the time the kids are ready for bed, I have to work a bit, and then I am exhausted.
Just a side note... I have updated for basically the whole summer but the blog will only allow a certain amount of posts on the main page. So scroll to the bottom and click older posts. Then click older posts again on the second page. There are tons of updates and pictures that finally found their way out of my camera. Enjoy and stay tuned.......

APPLE PICKING
This past weekend we went apple picking. We try to do this annually and we go with David, Jenna, Gavin, Mom, Dad, and all four of us. The weather was absolutely gorgeous and we were sure full of apples by the end of the trip.

Wisconsin Dells
So Last weekend we decided to take a last minute trip to the Dells Wilderness Resort and take advantage of their waterparks. We left on Friday after school and returned home on Sunday. We really enjoyed our get away and would like to plan on doing that many more times during the winter. The Dells are so close and has so much to offer for everyone. We relaxed and it felt like we were many many miles and hours away. It was some nice quality family time and we "checked" out of life for a few days. We actually had so much fun that we didn't even take pictures... but we did take pictures on our way home. We took a detoured way home and decided to hit the Merrimac Ferry crossing over the Wisconsin River. The kids thought it was so neat that the ice cream stand was still open.

Ho- Down
What an absolutely wonderful party we went to in September. We all got dressed up in cowboy and cowgirl gear and galloped on down to the ho down at the Mattioli residence. It was such a blast. The kids had such a spectacular time. They ate, sang, danced, and were so much fun. They flew in this little girl from Wyoming who had such a wonderful voice and her dad is a real cowboy on a ranch out there. She was wonderful.... and only nine years old. I know that we will be seeing her sometime down the road singing somewhere professionally.

Nolan's "first" day of school
We signed Nolan up for "school". It is actually called Mom's day out. It is every Wednesday from 9:30-12:30. He gets out for a couple hours, meets other kids, does projects, and just has fun. He loves it. To keep the costs down for all with this program, they have the parents volunteer once a month which works out perfect.
