The finish line of the Marathon ended at Buckingham fountain so here we are killing some time while we waited for the guys.

 

 

 

 

Chicago Marathon 10-10-10

This past weekend we headed down to Chicago to watch Dad and David run the Chicago Marathon. What an awesome awesome atmosphere. We stayed overnight from Saturday to Sunday and headed down really early on Sunday morning. They did such a great job and we got to see them at various points along the way. We are so proud of you both for accomplishing this.

Our WILD cucumber

Check out this cucumber... Isn't it just wild?!?! We forgot about it and it grew underneath our fence in our back yard. It is "U" day at school today for Lily so guess what she brought.....

 

Lily's Class Field Trip

Lily's first ever field trip with Kindergarten was yesterday. I was very lucky and was able to chapperone the group to the AppleBerry Farm. How cute this was! We got to see how they make apple cider, we got to eat apples, pick out pumpkins, go on a hayride, got to see how apples are washed and dried, and saw the chickens. Nolan wasn't allowed to come with so we are very fortunate to live near family.... Chris's grandma ( Nolan's great grandma) watched Nolan for the afternoon.

 

 

 

 

Schuster's playtime Farm

I just love Fall and we can't get enough Fall Farms and pumpkin picking. This weekend we went to Schusters Playtime Farm. It was a windy day, but the sun came out in the afternoon and warmed us up a bit. This was a cute Farm. Hayrides, corn mazes, corn sand boxes, pumpkin cannons, petting farms, swing sets, slides, train rides, caramel apples, apple cider, duck races, pig races, etc. We had a wonderful time..... This coming week we are headed to Chicago to watch David and Dad run the Chicago Marathon but the following week, we are taking our annual trip to Pecks

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Oregon Homecoming

I still can't believe we moved back to the town that I grew up in. Kinda crazy to think about it. But now that we are here, it is great raising the kids in Oregon with the fantastic schools and wonderful people. And what I really can't believe is that I am still going to homecoming events for the high school that I went to. Now, it is events for Lily, although she is not yet in high school. Friday was homecoming and the football game in Oregon. Every year they have a parade and all of the schools attend this parade. This year, I got to go with Lily's class. And Grammy came with which was so special for Lily. It was crazy finding a parking spot and trying the smooth talk the police into letting us park in places that were blocked off, but we made it with her class and had a fun time.
