Our MEXICO VACATION !!!

We are home from our trip. It was wonderful. The weather was beautiful. The resort and water was gorgeous. The food and drinks were good. It was so hard to leave but we were ready to come home and get back to normal. The kids had a blast, although were somewhat crabby because of the random schedules and no naps. We spent our days swimming the ocean with beautiful turquoise waters, building sand castles, searching for sea shells, laying on chairs sipping pina colada's ( and by the end of the trip, Lily was going to each bar and ordering them herself saying... "Ma'am...Uno Pina Colada Por favor without alcohol" And then when she got one, she was say Gracias which means thank you...So So Cute!!! ). They had hammocks for us to lay in, food galore, and we even fed the fish every morning which came up by the shore line and were not afraid of people. The resort was really nice and they had activities going on daily at the pool. We did spend a lot of time at the pool too. The kids swam in that more because they felt more comfortable in there. The plane ride there was a little iffy because the kids didn't know what to expect, nor did they want to sit for four hours straight. But we managed. The flight home was great. They loved it and did really well. We were lucky and had many seats around us on both flights that were not taken so we spread out and got two seats per person. We had tons of fun!!!!

Madison Children's Museum Peace Day Celebration!!

We went to an event at the Madison Children's Museum and around the capitol for Children. It was the annual Peace Day celebration. We watched a parade, went to the musuem, at lunch at the capitol, and shopped the Farmer's Market. We are so lucky to have the opportunity to explore Madison and what it has to offer.

Brief Update--CANCUN HERE WE COME!!!

I just noticed that I have not updated in a while. We have been really busy over here. We are getting ready to leave for Mexico on Sunday. Heading to the hotel on Sunday in Chicago then the flight leaves on Monday. The kids, Chris, and I are very excited for the trip. We are very nervous about the plane flight but we have each of the kids a book bag with tons of new toys, snacks, and goodies to play with on the plane.

We just can't wait for our vacation!!

Lily has started preschool and will be missing a five days of that. She is bummed out because she loves school but knows that she will have fun looking for shells, playing in the sand, and swimming. Both of the kids love sand and water. They are our little fish.

See you when we get home!!!

Dorothy the Gold Fish...May you rest in peace

A Eulogy for our pet.....This was Dorothy the goldfish. Always the fastest, fattest, biggest, and hungriest little goldfish. Dorothy's heart stopped four days ago after receiving an unexpected large "dump" of food in her bowl by her dearest and best friend, Lily. Lily thought she was hungry, and well, that was that. We had Dorothy for a little less than a year, which is a long time in our books. She is survived by her wonderful family, and is preceeded in fishy heaven by her former tank mate, Uhhhhh. There was a small ceremony at the Erfurth household surrounding the toilet. May you rest in peace Dorothy.

You guessed it!!!!

Today was picture day at our house!!! We were itching for something to do today, now that all of the big kids are in school and the neighborhood is quiet, so we decided to go take a trip to get our pictures taken and then grab a little lunch. The kids haven't gotten their pictures taken in a while and we thought it was the perfect time. We had a wonderful time and the kids did really well. It always takes such a long time. We like to go to portrait innovations because we can get so many pictures. Usually, I am very cheap and only go with the 9.95 package although they all always turn out so cute. This time, I budged and got some more pictures. Hey what can I say.... the sales lady was good and made me feel so guilty. If you have been there before, the following will sound so familiar. " Ma'am just let me tell you. Once I delete the precious and priceless pictures of your adorable children, they will be gone forever. The cute smiles that we captured, will be deleted and you will not be able to get them back" Ugghh..... I hate those words and it always makes my heart melt. So... I gave in and fell for it and ended up with a boat load of pictures. But hey... they gave me a free cd, and three free specialty prints!! WAHOO!!
We had a free lunch at Friday's while we waited. WAHOO for that as well!!! Coupons, coupons, and more coupons!!

Photo Day!!!
