D- Day today!

Well, today is my technical due date and still nothing! I can't believe we still don't have Baby Erfurth here. I was sure, almost positive, we would have this baby early like the other two. I guess it just goes to show that each child is different.

I am very anxious for this baby to arrive and wake up every morning hoping that that day will be the day but still nothing. I have tried everything---licorice, spicy food, rasberry tea, pineapple, walking tons, running, playing just dance on the wii, shoveling, lifting kids daily--nothing! I am 3cm dilated and had one false alarm last week that sent me to the hospital but that is it. We have been preparing for the arrival for a while, but since we thought I would be early, we have been preparing and living day by day for about 3 weeks now. My Dr. said that I am very healthy, the baby is healthy, I haven't gotten too too big--although I feel HUGE and have gained five pounds since last weeks appointment---, and I don't appear to be in any pain so he is taking me to 41 weeks which is next Friday. I do have to say that I have been feeling really good up until yesterday. I woke up and couldn't walk---I now waddle-- and I can't open my legs to move or stand up and have to be rolled off the couch. I am in pain now and just want this to be over with and have our little girl here.
Any day now, I hope :)
So I guess patience is my last resort :)

37.5 Week Photo Shoot!

My Dad did an AWESOME job again with photos! I wanted to have some keepsake photos of this pregnancy and my baby belly. Dad delivered again! These pictures are at 37.5 weeks. He took tons of pictures and I ended up with 86 pictures that I liked. Here are a couple...... I can't believe I am baring it all on a website but oh well! Take a look at my little basketball--I should say my Big basketball! :) A total of 23 pounds gained thus far--yikes!

My First Craving!

So I had my first REAL craving the other day. I have had no real cravings for specific food yet in this pregnancy however, the other day, I just had to have cake. I text message Mom V. telling her that I had a craving for my Wedding Cake. Chocolate cake, with Chocolate Mousse, and white chocolate frosting with White Chocolate shavings from Craigs cakes. I knew that I just had to tell Mom and Dad VV. because they would get a kick out of it. I knew that Craigs wasn't open that late and I didn't know if he would just make a random cake. I had kids to watch the next day and since it was so nice outside, we decided to take a walk. I got a call from Dad that he left me a present on my front step--It was a message since I missed the call. Well, I get home and to my surprise, there was a chocolate cake on my front steps. I have the BEST DAD in the world! PS. I ate half of the cake the same day :)

Rose Bowl

Last Monday we had a mini Rose Bowl Party. Chris cooked a huge spread of food and we had a great evening watching the game. Lily and Nolan both had school but Chris has off and I had no kiddos to watch that day so I spent the day all by myself shopping. It has been so long since I did that by myself. It was nice to browse the stores without anyone in tow.

New Year's Eve

We had a very relaxing New Years Eve. Since it was on the weekend this year, we spent the day getting ready for the baby. We re-did Lily's room, cleaned Nolan's room and rearranged our room. In the evening, we did Fondue here at our house and then headed to a get together for the rest of the evening. It was a great night of playing cards, chatting, and relaxing to ring in the New Year.

Christmas Morning

We usually go to Chris's Erfurth side for Christmas morning but this year we decided to stay home and relax with the kids. We ate a great breakfast, and opened gifts at our leisure. It was WONDERFUL! And definitely something we plan on doing every year. As the kids get older, we feel it is important for us to spend Christmas morning in our house opening gifts and enjoying playing with them before we head off to Grammy and Papa's house and we are sure glad we decided to do this.

Christmas Eve at Kari and Ren's

Chris's Mom's side has Christmas Eve every year at his aunt and uncle's house. It is always a great night of food, conversation, and a fun gift exchange game.

Christmas Eve

Before heading to Kari and Ren's house ( Chris's Aunt and Uncle's House) for Christmas Eve, we were off to church. The church that we like to go to has a great Christmas Eve service geared for kids. This year we ate birthday cake and danced to some great kid songs.

Christmas at Mom E's House

This year, we had Christmas at Mom E's house the weekend before Christmas. It was very nice and relaxing---- We opened presents, ate some treats, and made Fondue. Fondue has been our tradition for the past couple years. Mom E. purchases shrimp and steak and we cook it in Fondue pots. The kids LOVE this. It gets them involved and is very Yummy!
