I absolutely love going out on the day after Thanksgiving. I don't buy christmas gifts and strange as it may sound, I just love to people watch. Chris always has to be to work early that day. And when I say early, I mean he was at work at 4:00 am. So I was a good wife, and got up with him this year. I showered and got ready and waited for the kids to wake up so we could go out shopping. Next thing I know, It is 8:45 am and I am laying sideways on the couch. So.... my big plan of waking up early to shop didn't happen. We did end up meeting David, Jenna, and Gavin at Walmart. Jenna watched Lily so I could get some gifts for her from Santa :) Thanks Jenna!!! Jenna also took me over to Old Navy and let me use her employee discount. I got super great deals there. Thanks again Jenna!! You are the best!! We then went over the David and Jenna's for a while then back out tO Sams and Toys R Us to meet up with Mom and Dad VV. Santa and Mrs. Claus were outside so the kids got to see them. Lily then asked me on the way home, "Why all the Santa's look different??" And I just didn't know what to say. I mean, come on, she is only four and shouldn't be asking these questions. I just asked if they wanted to listen to some Christmas music and changed the subject and dodged the question. Any ideas on how to handle this question with a four year old?
