I can't believe I haven't been on here in weeks. Christmas flew past and so did New years. We have been crazy busy over here. I am finding it harder to keep updated with this blog and keeping up with checking my emails. The kids are awake more and more, and starting to cut down on their napping so I feel bad and like I am ignoring them when I am online when they are awake.
Lily started real preschool on Tuesday and Thursdays and is still enjoying dance class. We have her on the waiting list for Martial arts, so that should be fun for her as well. Lily just loves preschool and her teachers. That is all I hear about. Her friends, school, and what they are learning. I am so excited that she loves it so much and asks to go all the time. Nolan is busy as well. He is running, talking, jabbering up a storm. We had a ER run with him last week, but he is ok now and doing much better. We have been going back and forth to Iowa for the past few months. Chris has been filling in down there. Sometimes we go with him, which is great for the kids. We get to meet up with all our old friends, and the kids get to swim their hearts out in the pool. I really really miss Iowa, and really would like to move back. It is best for the kids to stay here close to everyone and Chris and I get to do more things now that we have local babysitters(aka family members) but I would love to head back.
We seem to miss really fun playdates up here with a playgroup, too when we go, so hopefully this past weekend was the last weekend we would be down there. We missed going to Crawdaddy bay with the playgroup. I think that the kids would have liked that. We are going to try and go in the next few weeks.
A couple of weeks ago, Mom and I went shopping without the kids.(Coco and Bubba watched the kids for most of the day) Just me and her. It was so nice to spend time with mom without the kids. We shopped and shopped galore. I got some cute things for Vegas and mom found some thing as well. Dad VV has been helping out lots here with the snow while Chris is gone. It seems like everytime Chris is gone, we get 6-11 inches dumped on us. We live in town so we have to keep the sidewalks shoveled. It is hard for me to shovel. ( I am so weak ) Dad brings his snow plow over and it is plowed in a matter of minutes.
Tonight I am going to Mops. (Mothers of preschoolers) It should be a blast. Next week is bunco night out and we are going to a local favorite restaurant.Should be fun to catch up with everyone there. The kids and I have a few playdates next week as well, so we are staying busy. Nolan and I are doing a group playdate every Tuesday and Thursday while Lily is in school. So between all the activities, the kids, Chris working, me working...we are staying pretty busy.
This week is the Oregon Alumi Basketball tournament. Chris is super pumped for this. He missed out last year because we were in Iowa and he had to work, so this year he is really excited he gets to play and catch up with everyone. He has been working out and getting ready to play. It will be great to see everyone from High school again, too.
Less than three weeks until Chris and I head to Vegas. The count down begins :)
I will follow up with pictures of the kids later. They woke up from naps already so time to get them out of beds/cribs.
