So... We stayed in Gulf shores for 6 days. We had a lot of fun. So did the kids. We rented a condo on the beach so it was very easy and convenient with the kids. We would spend the morning on the beach, each lunch, take naps then go back out in the afternoons. We usually tried to do something each night, whether it would be eating ice cream out (Nolan had his first ice cream cone at 6 months old), going to the go kart track, going on a dolphin and aligator cruise, or just driving around. It is a nice place to stay. Would we go back?? probably not, but that is just because we like to travel to new places once we have seen something. But we would recommend it to others. We loved having the condo rather than a hotel at this location. It was nice to be able to cook our own meals. It saved lots of moola $$$ in the end. This was Nolans first trip to the beach. He was not fond of it. The waved scarred him, he ate to much sand, then puked it up, and he fell asleep most of the time. Lily liked it for a while, then would freak out because her "precious blankie" was left in the room and she was afraid someone would take it, so that made her trips to the beach, worrisome. So, by the end, Chris and I figured it out and took her blankie to the beach so she could keep an eye on it. ( Smart parents finally realized what it would take to keep their child happy) :) We went to the wharf one night for dippin dots (mmmmm.. mommies favorite) and to ride the ferris wheel.. This was a great time for Lily. We also had a hard time swimming in the ocean because there were so many jelly fish. Lily and Chris actually got stung by one on the first day of our stay in Gulf shores.
